River Test Spiced Rum

Escape to a green oasis with our Rum of the Month, which comes to you from the banks of the ‘gin-clear’ waters of the River Test, surrounded by the lush Hampshire countryside. This beautiful bottle of local botanicals and spiced spirit is the ultimate summer sip, filled with warmth, rich, aromatic flavours and a subtle sweetness. 

Soft brown sugar sweetness combines with a juicy citrus note. Warming baking spice combines with the intriguing smoothness of meadowsweet to create an immensely sippable rum that is great on the rocks or in a mixed drink.

We first introduced River Test to members during the strange days of March 2021. We loved Sarah and Jon’s love of the English countryside and how well their chalk stream gold gin reflected this. Thankfully, those lockdown days are long behind us but Sarah and Jon have continued making amazing things and none so much as their new River Test spiced rum which continues to incorporate the best that native English botanicals have to offer.

How to make a Pina Colada

  • 50ml River Test Spiced Rum
  • 25ml Piña Colada Cocktail Syrup
  • 75ml pineapple juice
  • Fresh pineapple slice and pineapple leaf, to garnish

1. Add the rum, cocktail syrup and pineapple juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake well.

2. Strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice.

3. Garnish with a fresh pineapple slice and pineapple leaf to serve.
